July 2017 YBBCI Camp in Kigali, Rwanda

Community Contribution and/or Sponsorship of any amount helps us achieve our goals...

Dear Prospective Contributing Sponsor,

Youngsters B-Ball Camp is a YBBCI Brooklyn-based 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that provides youth basketball programs in the surrounding communities of the greater New York area. Now in partnership with the Aruba Basketball Federation in Stadionweg, Aruba, we introduced a new expansion camp to the Youngsters B-Ball Coalition, Inc. (“YBBCI”) family for the 2023 season. Each year, we aim at preparing boys and girls, ages 7 to 19, for high-level basketball competitions not only at the local level but also as national competitors.

The Camp is led by YBBCI co-founder, Sean “Groove” Scarborough, (also the Youngsters B-Ball-Brooklyn co-director) who has spent several years developing top notch high school, colligate and professional contenders who aspire to compete among basketball’s elite. In March 2017, the Brooklyn-based camp accomplishments caught the attention of the (former) Minister of Sports and Culture (“MINISPOC”). YBBCI was invited to come to Rwanda to showcase our two (2) week program and work with campers. As a result, YBBCI turned that two week visit into a five (5) year residency operating the camp twice a year in various Provinces of Rwanda reaching on average five-hundred (500) kids per visit.

In the post-pandemic 2023 summer series, we were excited to announce a new partnership with the Aruba Basketball Federation! Aruba has always been on our radar as they have many young “superstars” waiting for the opportunity to breakout onto the world’s scene and your contribution/sponsorship can aid us in accomplishing this mission.

It is our pleasure to reach out to businesses, organizations, and individuals like you, that may be interested in a sponsorship opportunity with our YBBCI kids. Your contributions will be targeted exclusively to lessen the growing costs that enable us to fully cover the essentials needed for those who participate in this sometimes “once-in-a-lifetime” activity. Specifically, we are seeking funds to help with uniforms, sneakers, equipment, and travel and accommodation expenses for our campers and coaches. Whether in New York or abroad, we are providing at least ten (10) coaches to work with and train over one-hundred (100) campers for a two (2) week period on average (depending on the location of the camp).

Since YBBCI cannot cover all of the camp’s operating expenses, we are reaching out to you, the community, to assist us in making sure that we provide all of our campers with the opportunity to develop and excel in the sport they love, while showcasing their skills locally and/or potentially internationally. Our camp generally cost between $50,000-$150,000 for a ten (10) day full-time session as a number of our players come from families that require extra support in order to attend the camp.  We ask that you consider showing your commitment to the future of the athletes by contributing today.  Once the priority areas are covered, all other funds will go toward the cost of our future Summer Camps, Tournaments and Leagues.

For those who are looking for international connections, there are many opportunities for our sponsors to gain exposure for their businesses in our selected camp location(s) by contributing; and most donations can be written off as an advertising expense, as sponsors will be listed on our website and social media pages.

Please take a moment and click the "PLEDGE" button below and show your monetary support today.  Thank you for encouraging these talented future athletes.  If you have any questions or need more information, please contact Sean "Groove" Scarborough at (917) 719-6669.
